Auction Alerts
Auction Alerts watch the Telegram username auctions you’re bidding on and message you the moment someone outbids you — with smart reminders that get more urgent as the auction’s end approaches. So you never lose a name just because you missed a notification.
Why it exists
Section titled “Why it exists”If you bid on a username auction from one wallet but that wallet lives on a different Telegram account, the official outbid notifications go to that account — not the one you actually check. People get outbid, never see it, forget to bid back, and lose the username.
Hoton fixes this by watching the auction from the outside. It checks the live auction directly — highest bid, who’s winning, time left — and alerts your Hoton chat, no matter which wallet or account you bid from.
Turn it on
Section titled “Turn it on”Open the @hoton bot and send:
/alertsThat opens your Alerts dashboard. From here you can add wallets, add auctions to watch, and pick how loud the reminders are.
Add the auctions to watch
Section titled “Add the auctions to watch”There are two ways:
Auto-scan (easiest)
Section titled “Auto-scan (easiest)”Tap 🔄 Auto-scan. Hoton looks at the wallets you’ve added and automatically finds every username auction they’re currently bidding on, and starts watching them for you. Nothing else to do.
Add one manually
Section titled “Add one manually”Tap ➕ Watch an auction and paste a @username (or the auction link). Hoton starts watching it
right away.
Your wallets
Section titled “Your wallets”Tap 👛 Wallets to manage the wallets Hoton watches. You can add up to 5.
- Watching a wallet is read-only — you just paste the address. Hoton never touches your funds and never needs you to sign anything to watch.
- The wallet you’ve connected to the bot is added automatically.
Hoton uses your wallets to tell which bids are yours — so it knows the difference between “you’re winning” and “you’ve been outbid.”
What an outbid alert looks like
Section titled “What an outbid alert looks like”The instant someone outbids you, you get a message like:
❗ You’ve been outbid on @coolname Highest: 💎25 · min next 💎26 · ends in 4h
with four buttons:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| 🔗 Open auction | Jumps straight to the auction so you can bid again |
| ✓ Handled | Quiets the reminders for this auction (until you’re outbid again) |
| 😴 Snooze 1h | Mutes it for an hour |
| 🔕 Stop | Stops watching this auction entirely |
How the reminders escalate
Section titled “How the reminders escalate”Hoton watches harder as the deadline gets closer, so a last-minute snipe doesn’t slip past. While you’re outbid and haven’t acted, it re-pings you on a ramp — calmly at first, then urgently, then LAST CHANCE in the final stretch. The closer the end, the more often it checks and nudges.
The moment you bid back and reclaim the top spot, it goes quiet and tells you:
✅ You’re winning @coolname again
And when the auction ends, you get a clear result — 🏆 you won, or 💔 it sold to someone else.
Alert styles
Section titled “Alert styles”Tap ⚙️ Style to set how loud alerts are. This is your default for new auctions:
- 🧘 Chill — just the first outbid, plus one reminder near the end. Minimal noise.
- 🎯 Smart (default) — the adaptive ramp above. Recommended.
- 🔥 Aggressive — tighter reminders that don’t stop until you act or the auction ends.
